Loka Yoga Recommendation

I have been teaching yoga for over 20 years.  The teacher training I received was top notch.  Loga Yoga offers a very similar training to what I received in that it covers all the necessary basics for becoming an effective yoga teacher.

You need to learn yoga basics in philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, and learn how to tie them all together to create a healing and empowering experience for your students.  Loka Yoga does just that.

I do recommend at least a 200 hour training.  This will give you enough confidence to go out and start your own yoga business.

If you need guidance on how to start your yoga teaching, I am happy to help you.  Just reach out at https://www.lisaknellercoaching.com/contact

My Yoga Story

In my early 40s I discovered yoga.  Prior to that I was your typical aerobics girl - doing step classes and other modalities to increase my strength and keep me healthy.  After I had a couple of kids, I ventured into my first yoga class.  It was love at first breath.  I couldn't believe how amazing I felt after my first yoga class.  I believe it was my second or third class I decided that someday I would teach.  Two years later I entered my yoga teacher training program.

I live in Arizona and had access to many amazing teachers.  The style that my teachers were practicing and teaching was Anusara - a style that combines the expression of heart qualities and alignment principles.  This style was first developed by John Friend, who later was dismissed from his post as founder of The Anusara School of Yoga due to his fall from grace.  You can Google that or ask Chat.

His method is spectular though and so I continued to study under teachers who got certified under his tutelage.

After teaching for about 15 years, I ended up going back to work and during Covid, lost my two remaining teaching positions in a public setting.  I haven't taught a public class since; however, I have managed to teach yoga online through Insight Timer, Facebook, and now YouTube.

I wanted to partner with another school that I feel confident will provide an amazing experience for up and coming teachers.  Loka Yoga School in Bali is that resource.  I am confident you will love the experience and becoming a teacher is one of the most amazing growth experiences on the planet.  You will be blessed beyond belief by sharing this amazing practical science with a spiritual foundation.  Do yourself a favor and get started as soon as you can.

With love and blessings,

Lisa
